Group
A holding company built to be the last owner.
Aurelius Industries is a permanent-capital holding company. We acquire good businesses, invest in them, and operate them for the long term. We are not a fund. There is no fund life and no plan to resell. When we buy a company, we keep it.
Who we are
A group of companies, held for the long term
Aurelius is a single company that owns other companies. We buy them, we back them, and we keep them. Each business carries on under its own name, with its own people, inside a group that is patient by design.
Permanent capital is the point. A fund has to return money on a schedule, so it has to sell. We do not. That one difference shapes how we act as owners, from the first conversation with a seller to the decades that follow.
We would rather own a few good businesses for a long time than many for a short one.
What we buy
Resilient businesses in sectors that will still matter
We look for established lower mid-market companies, often founder or family owned, whose owners are considering what comes next. These are businesses that already work, with real customers, steady demand and a clear reason to exist.
We focus on sectors that stay essential as AI lowers the cost of running a business: critical infrastructure, commerce, healthcare and life safety. Work that has to be done well, and has to keep being done.
What we do
Acquire, build, operate
The model is simple to state and demanding to do well. We acquire a good company, we improve it, and we run it for the long term. There is no exit at the end of that sentence.
Improvement is patient work. Better systems, sound investment, and good people given the room and the backing to do their jobs. We apply the tools of the AI era where they earn their place, and we leave alone what already works.
Because we are not selling, we can make decisions that pay off over years rather than quarters. That is the advantage of permanent capital, and we use it.
How we own
Ownership, governance and the long view
When we take on a company, our commitments are plain. Keep the people. Keep the name. Invest for the long term. What made a business worth buying is usually what is worth protecting.
We govern with a light hand and a clear head. Local teams run their companies. The group sets direction, allocates capital, and holds itself to honest standards. We ask for candour, and we try to return it.
We measure ourselves in decades. The question is not what a business is worth today, but whether it will be stronger, steadier and better run in ten years than it is now.
For owners considering a sale
A fair process, and a good home
Selling a company you have built is a serious decision, and we treat it as one. We offer fair terms, a respectful timescale, and diligence that is thorough and proper rather than a source of delay.
For the seller, the process is meant to be clean and clear from start to finish. For the company, the intention is a stable, permanent home and an owner who plans to stay.
If you are thinking about what comes next for your business, we would welcome a conversation. Write to jordan@aurelius.so.
The board
The people behind the group
Aurelius is founder-led, and we are building a board of experienced operators and advisers to sit alongside it. It is forming now. We would rather introduce people properly than list names for the sake of it, so this page will grow as the board does.
